Doctor Sleep: Directors Cut
There is no doubt for one second that this is the best audiences would — and perhaps will ever — get to servicing the lore of either Kubrick and Stephen King, not to mention both at the same time
Honeyland
Honeyland is a solid and emotionally stirring film that has become the first film to receive nominations in both Best Documentary Feature and Best International Feature categories
Les Misérables
Les Misérables has reputable intentions and tries to create something of substance to mixed results
Richard Jewell
With each new Eastwood feature, there is undoubtedly a fury of the political underbelly present, resulting in controversy from the film's statements that tend to create a form of rich hype. Richard Jewell is no different.
Underwater
Underwater is the kind of big-budget film that could have found a level of success if released twenty to thirty years earlier, aided by cable and video stores
The Personal History of David Copperfield
Two striking elements to The Personal History of David Copperfield is the film’s rousing, comedic bravado and the staggeringly profound central performance from actor Dev Patel.
Aquarela
There is no denying the visual power that Aquarela holds but, as a film and a piece of art, it feels like this subject matter could have been handled in a much more effective matter
Dolittle
Despite the breakneck pace of Dolittle, nothing happens for the majority of the film
Bad Boys For Life
Directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah bring this 90’s action franchise back to life with a relatively strong third entry after seventeen years of development hell

The crowning glory in Seberg, however, is Kristen Stewart, who dazzles with her exceptional talent of magnetism and enchantment

A film with legitimately great emotion and animation, even if it lacks some of the nuance and depth other Yuasa films have
Antigone
Antigone is an angry film that demands to be seen
1917
1917 is an outstanding film that is emotionally impressive within the smaller scale of warfare
Daniel Isn't Real
A decent starting point for director Adam Egypt Mortimer, who with a stronger cast next time around could very easily create something quite spectacular and more thematically impactful
Ophelia
Best described as if Tumblr had gotten the feature film rights to William Shakespeare — a recipe that is an utter and total painful disaster
Just Mercy
Just Mercy, while having an incredibly familiar narrative, does it right with a black lead for a black story and the result is a more than a terrific feature.
The Grudge
A reliance on tropes causes The Grudge to quickly become more tedious than terrifying
Jexi
Jexi is a film that is bottom of the barrel comedy at every turn
Varda by Agnès
A must-watch film and gives Agnès the send-off she deserves
