The Uncut Gems Podcast - Episode 38: Ad Astra

The Uncut Gems Podcast

The Uncut Gems Podcast is a show where a bunch of like-minded individuals gather around a virtual table to discuss films that for one reason or another have become forgotten. Tongues pressed firmly in cheek, the team don their film historian top hats and rant from sedentary positions to hopefully conclude whether the film in question deserves to be covered by sands of time or if it is a classic in dire need of attention.

In this episode of the show we are travelling to the edges of the solar system together with Brad Pitt as we are discussing the James Gray-directed science-fiction epic Ad Astra. Over the course of our discussion we are commenting on the film's troubled production, wonder if it was marketed to the right audience upon its release, argue over the gravity and meaning of its central themes and lock horns over a question if it is a flawed masterpiece or a pile of pretentious junk. So, join us and take sides in this truly heated debate.
